Review: by Michael Thomas Rowe
Amber came on after the naughty festivities of the Mondo Homo Festival. We’ve seen Amber numerous times including the Cabagetown festival wherein she guested with Diamond Lil. We thought that was good. But as the lights dimmed, we knew a new Amber was in town. Rock goddess, child pretender, diva extrodinaire, something alien yet strangely familiar. The make up was right and the band was right on.
Amber, in her element, embraced her audience and rose far beyond the expectation. The new tracks were sultry and seductive, the band tight as a baby’s butt. The fans loved it, we loved it and we cannot wait to see the Sexual Side Effects Again. Bravo.
